In the library “Paideia” in Sant Cugat del Vallés, Barcelona, they know how to take advantage of a small courtyard, all thanks to a few wooden pallets and a small investment. Some gravel for the floor and some DIY with pallets, and you can get a result like the one showed at these photos. In this case all the furniture has been created with europalets, the most suitable due to its high quality to use in any project.
The planters have been made with the pallets intact, fixing them on the wall, and taking advantage of the interior spaces of the pallet structure to create small planters, then they just have added potting soil and planted some plants.
The stools require a little more work, basically the pallets are dismantled to obtain the planks and the blocks that compose them. Then you have to reassemble them placing blocks and planks alternately, until you obtain these small stools that you scan ee in the photos. Finally, it has been added a cushion at the top, in order to decorate them and make them more functional and comfortable.
This is a great way to take advantage of a small courtyard that could has fallen into disuse, you hardly need resources to start a rehabilitation as this one, just get some pallets and materials… and of course will to start doing DIY 🙂
