A good way to give a different touch to the home it’s to combine our furniture with pallet furniture hilt by us, in environments such as the dining room, the bedroom, the garden etc. These would give to the house a more homely, rustic and modern style. The materials and tools that you are going to need are: a pallet, a hammer, a crowbar, a saw, screws, a drill, a sander and wooden paint.

Once you’ve removed all the planks cut them with these measures: 10 planks with the dimensions of 45 cm (17 ”), two are for the front legs, 5 to make the seat, 1 for the lower back and another 2 for the top of the backrest.
Also we are going to cut 2 planks with the dimensions of 90 cm (35 ”) to use them as the back legs and backrest, 2 of 35 cm (13 ”) for the sides of the seat, 1 of 40 cm (15 ”) for the bottom of the seat, 4 blocks of 20 cm (7 ‘) to attach the structure and 4 more wooden blocks.
To start building the lateral structures of the chair, we’ll join with the help of the blocks the 2 rear planks of 90 cm (35 ”), the front planks of 45 cm (17 ”) and the side planks of 35 cm (13 “) as we show you in the picture forming an” h “
Then join the 2 “h” to finish to building the basic structure of the chair, using the lower front plank of 40 cm (15 ”) and the rear plank of 45 cm (17 ”), closing the frame of the seat.
Then we’ll take 5 planks of 45 cm (17 ”) and will post them over the frame to build the chair seat.
Finally, with the help of the screwdriver join the two planks of 45 cm (17 ”) creating the upper backrest.
One we have finished our chair made with a single pallet, sand the wood with a sander in order to achieve a smooth and splinter-free surface. Then we have to choose the color to paint our pallet furniture. Another less laborious option is to keep the original tone of the wood by applying 2 layers of varnish. In our case, we have chosen this azure color for a beach environment. This chair made of pallets can also be very suitable for to use with dining table or a desk.
It’s a simple and basic furniture for everyday use, easy to build, highly optimized using just one pallet and with an elegant design. So you just have to be meticulous on your work and show your skills as a carpenter to get a good result.
