If you love Halloween and you want to surprise your friends and neighbors with a decor that nobody will expect, I recommend you to do this fake cemetery with pallets. The fence is made entirely with recycled wooden pallets, and some of the crosses in the cemetery, Here I explain you how I have built it.

First you will have to measure the perimeter of your garden, this is to see how many pallets are you going to need to make the fence. The amount of pallets also depends of the distance that you will leave between the posts, in this case we wanted enough space to let the children see the tombs trough the fence.

Do you see the two pallets? to build the cemetery they have to have the worst possible aspect, you should use pallets as the one with the dark look. Also the rotten and aged wood is much easier to disassemble. To see how to easily disassemble the pallets you can visit this link.

To make the longitudinal beams, you’ll need to buy wooden boards with the dimensions like the one in the photo or even larger, and then cut it in a half, the boards from the wooden pallets will be used to make the crossbars. Use the wood with the worst look-like, you can even break the boards to give them a worst aspect.

Later you will have to paint the fence with a brown or gray paint, you can also leave the wood without painting it. If you paint with a spray you’ll go much faster.

You will have to set the fence on the ground, we have used iron bars that we had in the garage to do this, stacking them to the ground and fixing them to the boards with the classic cable ties. Contrary to what you can see in the picture, is better if you fix each iron bar in at least 2 or 3 points, surely the children will try to move and break the fence, and this is very dangerous because the entire fence can fall over them. The stability of all the fence system is a very important point to avoid any danger to the kids.
