In the award-winning “Hotel Aire” situated in the little town of Bardenas, Navarra (Spain), designed and built by the architects Emiliano Lopez and Monica Rivera, the architects have used the wood, from the fruit boxes used in the farming areas of the region, to create the main facade of the hotel, and create spaces.
A great conjunction of Architectural Design and rusticity.
The wooden fruit boxes are used also as a fence to separate the hotel garden from the farm-land.
This singular enclosure allows the wind to pass through its structure but it also protects the hotel customers, and its construction doesn’t need any foundation.
