In the last post that we shared with you, we explained how to build a garland to decorate your house door, perfect for Christmas. This simple project is a good example to show you how to use the pallet planks, you can design multiple small objects for the home, unique and original. We can adapt all of them using our artistic and creative skills, in pattern, shape and color.
Following this line to decorate the hall or your home, we show you now how to build a hanging vase with a pallets support.
The materials and tools that you are going to need are: one pallet, a hammer, two hooks, a brush, white paint, a stencil with a triangular border (you can make it yourself or buy it), a plastic sheet that mimics a chalkboard, a screwdriver, wood glue, a clamp, a saw and a lever.
First extract the wider pallet board with the hammer and the lever, as we show you in the picture. If you want to see how to extract the planks from a pallet, at this post is perfectly explained with two videos how to do it.
Then we are going to cut this board in 2 smaller ones, one piece of 30 cm (12 ”) and the other of 7.6 cm (3 ”)
Next place above them the stencil, you can also mimic it using adhesive tape.
Dilute the white paint before using some water, then paint the wood with the stencil and wait for it to dry.
Now is time to fix the clamp on it.
Previously cut a piece of wood as we show you in the picture, we will post the piece of wood on the board, and then the clamp on it.
Finally, we’ll apply the stencil and the paint in other white small plank. Once the paint has been dried, cut the plastic chalkboard sheet and glue it on the plank. Now in this board we can write and personalize our welcome message.
The last step is to join the two boards with the help of two hooks, like in the picture. We have placed some flowers into the hanging vase, but you can put whatever you want.
