If you are thinking about making some economic changes and with a good result in your bathroom, we have a proposal made with pallets to share with you. It’s a blind that mimics the typical one from a barn, achieving a rustic and different style. You can combine it nicely into a bathroom with a predominant neutral design, with light colors such as white or cream, contrasting with the dark color of the wood.
The construction of this blind is easy to execute, it carries a little time and the image change with the help of other recycled objects is amazing.
First, extract 4 boards from a pallet with the help of a hammer and a crowbar. Then we are going to align them and cut with the same length as the window with the saw. The cut doesn’t have to be perfect, this imperfection will give more charm to the blind, that’s the cool thing about working with pallets.
Then cut the other board along by the middle. Then cut it into three parts to use it like a “Z” to join the other boards.
With the help of the screwdriver we’ll set the boards. Then, add a spike with a hook, which will mimic the latch of a window.
Once we are going to fix it to the window using 2 hinges, that we have obtained from an old cabinet. They also can be found at any hardware store.
As you can see in the picture, we have added some decorative objects with a country air that complement the new design of the bathroom, they are very easy to find at home. All are the result of recycling, an old plate, a fruit box, a ladder… can be excellent addons.
