If you have some time off this summer and you don’t have a swimming pool, we offer you this solution that you are going to love … You only have to build yours! It is not extremely difficult and it will help you to survive the summer.
We’ll begin to protect the base of the pool, once we have chosen the place where we are going to build it, we will place one or two anti-herbs meshes on the surface of the terrain, and begin to align the pallets above it.
In this case we have used 9 pallets, they have been enough to close the circle. The next step will be to fix the pallets between them, we are going to use the help of some planks nailed in the corners where they are joined. Then wrap around the perimeter 2 well-tensioned belts, this will help to keep at bay the pressure exerted by the water on the pallets.
Before we put the plastic sheet we should protect it, to do this we can put some synthetic layers covering the pallets, especially in corners and angular areas.
And finally it’s the moment of placing the impermeable plastic sheet, it can be purchased at any garden store. The plastic sheet must be thick enough to prevent it from being pierced, and can not be extended without leaving folds, we have to glue it to the structure obviously without nailing it, in this case we have used duct tape, although it’s better to glue it on the wood.
Cut off those planks that protrude on the sides and cover the whole pallet structure to obtain a perfect finish, in this case to make the work easier some dry heather has been used to cover the perimeter, however you can use more wooden planks and nail them one by one, although it can be somewhat laborious …
And finally we can enjoy our amazing swimming pool built with pallets 🙂
