Recently in this post we mentioned the possibility of buldinga barbecue using the pallets, obviously not for the barbecue itself, but for the body of it.
Build a Barbecue like the one of the picture above is possible, you just need a few recycled pallets, a metal container of an old barbecue, and follow these steps.
First to build the sides or the legs of the barbecue, we are going to need 2 europalets and modify them as in these 2 images. We will extract the planks and the wooden blocks indicated, and then cut them so they are not so big.
Then unite both legs with the help of four long boards, obtained from another pallet. Nail them on the bottom forming a structure with an “U” shape.
Then, to build the middle shelf of the barbecue, extract enough planks from other pallets, and unite them as you see in the image, creating a large shelf. Fit it on the middle and fix it with the help of 4 metal brackets and some screws.
Finally we put the grill on the top, we can recycle an old one, buy a new one, or even create one if we have a few metal parts and a grill. To fix it over the pallet table in this case we have used 2 long metal structures that rely on the sides. It’s important that the barbecue does’nt come into contact with the wood, as it can reach high temperatures and get burned.
The final detail will be to set some boards over the metal supports, so we will cover them and improve the finish, plus they can be used as side tables for cooking.

Sanding and varnishing the wood can always be a good idea, we’ll get better results and maximum durability for the furniture.
