To build this wall lamp we will need besides of a recycled wooden pallet: an aluminum tube,  a power cord, a bulb holder and a lamp shade, a switch and a plug.

The first step is to cut the aluminum tube into 2 parts, which will serve to hold the lamp with wall bracket, depending on the size of the lamp shade you will have to decide the length of the tubes, the longer are the tubes the bigger could be the lamp shade.

You’ll have to make 2 holes in both wood supports to insert the tubes. The supports come from a recycled pallet, one is one of the solid blocks separating the two faces of the pallet, and the other is a wooden board.

The power cord can be passed through the alluminium tube to get to the wood block, we must drill the block to reach to the top with the cable, where is the bulb holder. To drill the wooden block and let the cable pass throught the hole, we are going to need a drill of a considerable caliber.

Finally we’ll put the bulb holder on the top of the wooden block and we’ll connect it to the cable, everything well fixed. We will put both plug and switch on the opposite end of the cable, just at the distance that more pleases us.

In this sketch we can see fairly well how we have to drill the wooden block and how are attached the alluminium tubes and the bulb holder.

If you need to deconstruct the pallet to get the all the wooden pieces, we explain here how to do it easily:
