We love this cheery room, it’s a youth bedroom where most of the furniture were created using the pallets.
As you can see in the picture above almost all the furniture is from recycled origin. The bed, dresser, bookshelf, stool, magazine rack, nightstand and even the mirror have been made with whole pallets or with wooden pallet planks.
The shelf is made with 2 long pallet planks, joined by 3 shorter and stronger beams that came also from the pallets, which have the function of bookends too. The shelf is fixed to the wall using 2 metal brackets hidden behind the wooden blocks, so it can withstand a considerable weight.
This is the magazine rack, something more complex to build but with an excellent result. If you take a look closer to the wood you’ll notice that all the planks are perfectly polished, plus all the edges are beveled to improve the end.
The framework defines with only 4 wooden planks the mirror, it’s probably the easiest piece to build of the room. Below you’ll find the dresser, built using whole pallets but cut to fit the space that offers the bedroom.
The bedside table uses the same construction as the shelf, except that it has been placed upside down on the wall, maximizing the space that provides and also improving its weight resistance.
probosc.es builds and sales furniture made from recycled industrial materials, and as you had seen especially using pallets. On their website they have a good range of creations to explore, however they are opened to build any kind of furniture.
Do you like this pallet furniture? Do you wan to look for more youth bedrooms?
