The last step left us with the walls of the house already made , but in order to give to the roof the needed inclination, we have to give some tilt to these walls. To do this we’ll join again 4 pallets in line, the length of the wall, and we’ll cut them with an inclination between 20 and 30 degrees.

Once we have these two pieces over the walls, we’ll fix them with some pallet boards, in the following pictures you can see how I’ve fixed them by 2 points, but the more fixations the better .

On the one of the sides now there’s a hole, so I opted to put a window there, topped by several boards on all the sides, you can close the hole with more pallets or do what I’ve done. This will give natural lighting to the house.

Then we’ll cover the inside with the insulation and plasterboard, this is essential if you want to live in this house. For warmer climates I recommend an insulation of about 5cm (2 ” ), but if you are in a colder climate you should put at least 10cm ( 4″). You can replace the drywall for wooden pallets, following the same process that we have done to build the walls, but using plasterboard has more benefits like more space inside the house and ease of installation.

Finally we’ll place the roof, my recommendation is to buy a sandwich-panel, it’s made of 2 aluminium plates and an insulating core inside, having at least 10cm ( 4″ ) thick, although there are also thicker solutions if your house is in a very sunny climate. It’s very easy to install and completely waterproof, so I recommend installing it, we’ll just have to seal and fix the pannel to the walls of the house.
