Wooden pallets can be a good solution for building farm animals constructions. Pets are not as demanding as us, so if you need any dependency for them, the pallets can be a good solution. It’s the case of this chicken coop made with pallet planks sent by Nicolas, without being too picky with the furniture finishes, but also not careless, we can do very useful constructions in no time.
Once we have deconstructed several pallets to obtain the wooden planks, we can do whatever we can imagine, including the roof of the chicken coop, later it will be perfectly waterproofed, if we cover it with a waterproof membrane.
The coop also has also several doors made with wooden planks a hinges, in order to access the nests of the chickens to collect the eggs or clean the chicken coop. Of course the chicken coop is over the ground to protect better the hens, specially from the floods, this will also require us to build a small ladder with planks for the chickens.
