You want to give a nice view to the outside of your home with an exclusive touch? Today we offer you a great alternative: a pallet furniture with flowers and plants that simulates a beautiful vertical garden. Hope you like it!
First, the materials and tools that you are going to need are : 3 or 4 pallets of different sizes and colors (If you don’t have pallets of various colors, you can paint them of the color that you like. It is very important to don’t use shabby pallets, in the future we can have moisture problems), a hammer and nails, 6 to 8 buckets of paint or aluminum cans that will work as planters, an electric screwdriver, several flowering plants , gardening gloves, safety glasses, 2-4 screws to hang the pallet on a fence or wall.
Unmount the pallet to select the boards with a thin or medium width, in order to make the base of our garden pallet.
Then we will place the boards as a patchwork (you may have to cut some planks to fit them into the dimensions of the furniture).
Finally, we ‘ll nail all the boards building the support base of our pallet garden .
We’ll take the pots and drill some holes in order to facilitate the water drainage .
Also with a hammer and some nails we’ll pierce the pots on its sides.
With two holes it is going to be enough to fix the pots to the pallet. We’ll use the holes in the pot as a template to make the marks where the nails are going to be nailed later.
Then, we’ll set the pots on the pallet, fill the pots with soil and plant the plants.
Remember to add some screws on the rear of the pallet, in order to fix it on the chosen surface, in our case a metal fence.
We suggest you to add to the base of the pallet garden some bricks, this is to prevent your furniture from rotting from the bottom, then the wood will not come in contact with the ground.
Now just water your beautiful garden!
