If we have some ugly element in the garden or out of place , we can try to hide it using some climbing plants , but for doing this we need a place where to plant them and allow them to climb . This is the case of this pallet planter , designed to plant some vines on it and hide a water tank .
The pallets have to be dismantled in order to obtain the wooden boards that compose them. Then mount these boards using the longer and thiner ones to build the walls of the planter, and the shorter and thicker as the interior structure, where we¡re going to nail the other boards.
We can create a planter that best suits for what we want to hide. In the corners and in the limits we are also going to fix the longer boards, there is where we are going to fix later the fence, this fence is to help to grow the vines over it.
It may be a good idea to line the inside of the planter with a tar paper or a plastic, so then the wood will last much older, remember that there must be a hole to drain out the water at the lowest point of the planter, if not the plants are going to rot.
Finally we will fix the metal fencing in the rafters, we’ll fill the planter with soil, and also plant a few vines. Over the time these will grow through the mesh and will cover completely the water tank .
