Would like to organize your kitchen species with a shelf made of pallets? Today we want to show you a piece of furniture that can be adapted perfectly to every place in your kitchen, thanks to the pallet planks. This project is well suited if you’re starting in the DIY world.
To build this furniture you need the following tools and materials: a pallet, a drill, screws, anchor brackets for fixing it to the wall, sandpaper and a saw. First, before you start building the furniture you have to measure the space where you will put your species shelf. In our case, we will place it on the top of the stove, and it will have the following measures: 76.2 cm (30 “) high and 39.3 cm (15.5 in) wide.
Then, once you’ve chosen the desired measures, you have to cut the planks with the right length. Our furniture planks have a thickness of 1.9 cm (0.75 “), and we have cut 2 planks of 76 cm (30”) for the top and bottom, 2 planks of 45.7 cm (18 “) for the intermediate shelves, and 3 planks of 72.3 cm (28.5”) for the vertical divisions. On the next picture you can see this planks in detail.
Once all the planks have been fixed with the screws, you will have the pallet spice rack done. Now we just need to paint or varnish with our chosen color and secure it to the wall with the anchors.
And presto! We hope you like our pallet species rack.
