This is a stairway that by its design is perfect for garages and lofts. Its main element is the wooden pallets in their original condition all stacked together but leaving a step every 2 pallets. To have a more suitable high for the stair steps, it has been used 2 pallets for every one. Each step is coated with a layer of wood to protect the feet from the gaps of the pallet structure.
The construction of the staircase is quite elementary, but keep in mind that it’s not as simple as just to stack all these pallets. The structure has to work solidly in all of its dimensions, remember that it’s a staircase and if it fails could be dangerous for its users. In the case of the image shown above, the pallets that are against the wall are fixed to it with metal anchors. Also take a look closer to the steel reinforcements that have been anchored to the sides of the upper pallets, this allows the whole staircase to function as a single element and don’t collapse.
