I recently had the opportunity to be in Bangkok, Thailand, and doing the obligatory shopping before going back home, looking for a place to change my IPhone battery, I arrived to a section of a large shopping center where there only were phone shops and everything related to the smartphones and its accessories. The big surprise was that one of these stores was fully furnished using only the wooden pallets. Tables, floors and walls were covered with them; used both to build shelves and exhibitors.
Here I show you a few pictures of this curious shop, as you can see the pallets are 100% the protagonists, hardly you’ll see a furniture that is not created with them, the style is excellent and it matches very well with a modern shop like this one.
As you can see on the ground, a circuit has also been created using the pallets, as if it was a wooden deck. Where the pallets haven’t reach, a fake grass has been installed, giving a more pleasant and green air to the shop.
This is the counter where the payments take place, although it looks like an exhibitor, actually houses inside a cash register. Only a few pallets have been joined to build this high table, and over the top a glass has been placed.
The exhibitors are just pallets placed vertically over other ones that work as the base, as you can see in the picture. We can say that the exhibitor works perfectly and aesthetically achieves what is expected from it, also a lighting system hidden behind the pallets plays with the warm lights and the shadows to give a chic air to the store.
Boxes made of the same wood as the pallets, also take part on the design of the shop, as if it was a warehouse they are also used as exhibitors.
Finally we can see how all the walls are coated using whole pallets, which use the same lighting system that we’ve seen in the exhibitors. These pallets are used as if they were shelves to present the different phone cases and accesories, only some metal hangers have been fixed.
