And as I promised here’s the table that made Jean Phi for his living room, which with the bookcase that already we explained make a great combination.
This pallet furniture is perfect for a budget living room, in this case Jean has used various recycled items such as the pallets, and he only had to buy some items for 30 € to finish the project, a more than an affordable price for a table lounge. He had to acquire eg a sheet of plexiglass for the top board, the respective holders for the plexiglas and the supports to hold the wheels (the wheels are from recycled origin)
First you must clean up the pallets correctly, they can simply be cleaned with some soap and water, with a kartcher or even better sanding them to remove any dirt or imperfection.
Under one of the 2 pallets, some perforations have been done to attach the wheels supports, then they were placed in their respective locations.
Next place the plexiglas over the other pallet to delimit the surface that we need, once we know the exact dimensions we’re going to cut it to fit on the pallet, and also we have to sand the cuts of the plexiglas in order to be sure that they aren’t sharp. We will also drill the sheet where the fixations have to be placed.
To fix the plexiglass on top of the pallet we need some supports as you the ones that you see in the photos, specifically designated for this, we can find them at any hardware store. You’ll have to level in order to to have a leveled surface.
Finally you must have to place a pallet over the other one to finish the table, Jean wanted to fix both pallets with the help of some wooden blocks, and to secure the structure, it wasn’t easy so finally he gave up and simply stacked a pallet over the other, so they withstand only with their own weight. It’s an enough solution and really you don’t need to set both pallets, the result is anyway good.
