Today we’ll show you a great video of how to make a table with a couple of pallets, in the simplest way possible, it is a table for the living room and I explain you step by step how to do it, also at the end of the post you can visit the link with the pallet furniture video.
To start working you need 2 europalets in good state, with an electric sander you’ll have to sand them to make the surface smoother, especially the top table, which is the part that we are going to use more.
Then apply a coat of wax to clean and polish the surface, in this case from the Briwax brand.
To join the two pallets between them we are going to use 4 hinges and some screws, 2 per side. The hinges will not allow the cabinet to be opened, they simply are used to set one pallet to the other without letting them to be separated, they are also very decorative.
Now let’s fill the gaps on the pallet with several sheets of plexiglas, and get a fully functional surface. We will have to cut some small wooden supports and introduce them into the holes to align the sheets with the table, to fix these supports and the plexiglas use wooden glue.
Finally apply a coat of varnish on all the wood of the pallet, giving a satin hue to the final color of the furniture.
